I am very excited to be a part of the visual arts department here at DSA. I began teaching at DSA in 2003. I completed my MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in Studio Arts at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003. I completed my Bachelor of Environmental Design (Architecture) at Texas A&M University in 1985. My own work is sculptural and includes site-specific installations, which are often outdoors. The general thematic focus of my work is the relationship between humans and nature and includes many materials such as fabric, branches, soil, rope, steel, and leaves. Before my masters work, I was the Education Director of a regional contemporary art museum in Casper, Wyoming. Prior to that, I was involved in many aspects of art education, usually in alternative settings such as summer camps and afterschool programs.
This year, I am teaching the following courses:
3-D Media 7th graders 5th Period

Advanced 3D 11th – 12th graders 2nd & 3rd Periods
